urbansense: LAST PERFORMANCE…EVER :( I remember watching their last performance on Youtube. Powderfinger were a band i grew up listening to, knowing that there will never be a new song, a new album from them, made me feel empty; the music industry would never be the same. The video made me realise how music isn’t just something of leisure for me it means so much more. This image of jon is from their last performance, I remember whilst watching it i could feel the passion they had through my computers monitor, I could feel the hair on my skin rising and the shivers coming down my spine. I live with hope that one day they will reunite and provide people like me with a beautiful experience.

This is the face of the first man to set foot on the Moon, just hours earlier, on July 20th, 1969. Neil Armstrong was a quiet self-described nerdy engineer who became a global hero when as a steely-nerved pilot he made “one giant leap for mankind” with a small step on to the moon. The modest man who had people on Earth entranced and awed from almost a quarter million miles away has died. He was 82.
